Constant Dullaart / ArteKonstatenNekagarria

Constant Dullaart always insists on the authenticity of his name and surname, and if necessary, he is ready to show his passport and birth certificate. Constant is a visual artist who ironically explores new modes of imagining and using the internet as a medium. His research is focused on the contemporary language of images and re-contextualizing material found on the Web. For the project No Sunshine he removed the sun from romantic sunset pictures he had found on Flickr. For him, the Web is a space, a landscape, a world to investigate in all its various parts. Constant has an interest in the default style of Web-based platforms. His works have been shown internationally, and one of the most distinguished is YouTube as a subject.

Constant Dullaartek hitzaldiari horela eman zion hasiera: porno wegune batean sartu zen eta in streaming sexu harremanak izan ohi duen bikote batekin kontaktatu zuen. Neska bere ohe eta pantailaren aurrean bere lana egiten zuen bitartean Constantek bideo jarri zuen bere aurpegia erakutziz. DVD izena inprimatutako kolorezko papertxoak pantailaren aurrean borobilak eginez erakuzten zizkion neskak barre egiten zuen bitartean. Bikotea tipo honen jarrerarekin flipatuta bazegoen ere, Constantek bere portatilarekin publikoa enfokatu zuenean aho bete hortz geratu ziren. Gu, hitzaldiaren publikoa ere, zertan ari zen ere ez genekien.

Tipo honek bideo-laburrak egiten ditu interneten dugunarekin. Gure datuak doan saltzen direla salatzeko hainbat parodia egin ditu.

Hona hemen berak sortutakoak:

Eta hemen bere obrari buruzko azalpena (programan argitaratutakoa):

“First of all I have to say that I disliked the YouTube design and video quality in 2005 when it started to come out—the chaotic site structure, the badly designed layout, and the obnoxious play button. After a few years it was clear that YouTube had won the battle of online video hosting. […] This caused me to wonder why the obnoxious play button had not been used as a subject since it was the first image people would see before watching all these important reference videos, art, wedding, news, etc. The play button is the starting point regardless of whether it’s a meme video, a Joseph Beuys performance, a Warhol screen test, or an instructional video. Every single one starts with the same image.”
